EQ8 Mock-up

Designed in EQ8, and made with the Island Batik collection, Pixie Patch, Lilac Shimmer is a jelly roll friendly quilt. 

Gorgeous Purples

In addition to the Pixie Patch fabrics, I used Solid Black, Egg White (Island Batik Neutral), and Pistachio Green for the binding.

Lilac Shimmer uses just one block that creates the swirling star as a secondary design.

I am particularly proud of this pattern as it minimizes fabric waste usually associated with stitch and flip method. 

Pop of Green Binding

I am grateful to Island Batik for the gorgeous fabrics and Hobbs for the Thermore Batting. I used my walking foot for the squiggly line quilting.

The water rippled, my heart fluttered, while Paul held fast.

As we drove home, I noticed the giant purple flower, the matching hummingbird and the fuchsia blooms. Of course, we stopped to take a few more pictures.
