There is a first time for everything, right? This is my first attempt at making a video.
I hope that what I lack in production quality and overall appeal is balanced (somewhat) by my genuine excitement.
Well, according to Blogger, my video exceeds their size limit (yes even after cropping and reducing file size). Insert raspberry here.
You may view it on my Facebook page here. Here are a few highlights from the Box.

The Island Batik and Accuquilt challenge will come later in the year. For now I must focus all my energies on the February Blog Hop Challenge. Won't you revisit on February 1, 2021?
Disclosure: The fabrics, thread, batting and needles were generously supplied by the following companies:
You did great on your video, it's scary making them for the first time!
ReplyDeleteFabulous ! Island Batiks is very generous. Looking forward to all your creations!
ReplyDeleteGreat video! What a big amount of fabric. I am sure you feel like a kid in the candy store :) And what an amazing gift from accu quilt. It can make cutting for curves and such so much easier. I only sew demonstrations & videos but I am sure, you will enjoy it lots :)
ReplyDeleteThat is an astounding box full! How exciting to pull it all out and get ready to play.
ReplyDeleteyou must be so excited to be an ambassador now - I always find it amazing to see what is in these boxes for you - I think you will love the accuquilt and I see the 8" qube - I thought about the 8 inch qube when I got my accuquilt system but went with the 12. Good luck - it will be fun to play with all that fabric.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a box filled with creativity and endless projects! I do love my Accuquilt and it is not difficult to use. Have fun Preeti!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabrics!!! and lovely pics with all the other fun supplies! Now, I'm off to FB to watch your video!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love your breakfast foods, almost as much as I really love bacon and eggs with toast and milk - I think that's what is going to be for dinner tonight!
ReplyDeleteAnd I managed to comment on the wrong post, your video is delightful as well, however :)
ReplyDeleteI loved your video and it's so nice to see all the goodies up close in your box. I love Yolk, it's so warm and gives a real glow to projects. Can't wait to see what you make with everything!
ReplyDeleteThat is such beautiful fabric, and all kinds of other useful supplies, too, Preeti! You're going to be an amazing ambassador for IB. I'm looking forward to seeing everything you make!
ReplyDeleteSEW exciting, Preeti!! I'll be looking forward to seeing what you will make for the February Blog Hop. Oh, the possibilities!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure trove of wonderful goodies! So much beautiful fabric and supplies. Loved your table mats so am looking forward to Feb 1st. Enjoy the Go cutter, they are fun to use. I enjoyed your video, well done! You will make a great ambassador Preeti, and exciting year ahead!!
ReplyDeleteYou were quite calm and poised during the unboxing video. No one would ever guess you were a beginner at video making. And what fun to see all the goodies which I am sure you will make good use of. Looking forward to the February reveal (doesn't give you much time, does it ?
ReplyDeletePat
What a treasure trove! I'm looking forward to February 1st and your project. Great job on the vid!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my Preeti! What fun! So many goodies! That's a big cutter! (Sorry going overboard with the exclamations here!!)
ReplyDeleteYour sewing room is so neat too!
I forgot to add that your video was so well done!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on your video, Preeti. I cannot wait to see what you create with all this gorgeous fabric!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing what you received and looking forward to your creations! Your blog is worded like we are old friends chatting away!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Can't wait to see what you create with your Snails Trail die. I just got that one for Christmas. Enjoyed your video.
ReplyDeleteCongrats and have fun creating!
ReplyDeleteWhat absolute fun! I can’t wait to see what goodies you come up with. They’re sure to be just as fun as the fabric!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great lot of goodies. I just bought those accuquilt cutters and dies too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Its overwhelming! I thought you'd receive fabric but instead you received fabric and the kitchen sink. No wonder you are apprehensive! But as usual, are doing a fantastic job. Barbara
ReplyDeleteI loved your video and will love watching you create as an Island Batik Ambassador!
ReplyDeleteExcuse me. I must run and get my bleach wipes. All this slobber and drool in the keyboard. I can't wait to see what you do with all your goodies.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an AccuQuilt cutter; I use one at the quilt shop for a small fee, but it makes quick work of tedious cutting. You can get to the good part (after fabric shopping -- which you don't have to do) faster.
Good job on the video. You can't see us, but we can see you and your gorgeous smile.
You will have so much fun with these goodies!!
ReplyDeleteOh my GOODNESS; you're going to have SEW much fun!! I, for one, cannot wait to see what goodies you will create with the GO! cutter. I'd forgotten that Island Batiks has SOLID batik fabrics -- wish my LQS carried them because that might have been the perfect option for my kaleidoscope background dilemma, to coordinate with my hand dyed stripes and hand marbled fabrics. I've never tried Hobbs' polyester batting before but have used their 80/20 blend many times over the years, including the black 80/20 that I used for that dark purple Mission Impossible quilt as well as for an Amish-inspired baby quilt with a black background and primary colors. Love it! Hey, for your video, are you able to upload a video to YouTube and then choose the Link from YouTube option to insert the video into your blog post in Blogger? I believe that's how I did it when I made the questionable decision to include a video of me singing a duet with my dog in a blog post once... ;-)
ReplyDeleteWell, I’m late to THIS party, but let me say I loved your unboxing video. You did great! I’m jealous of those green batiks, the Accuquilt cutter (I only have a Go!Baby - must upsize!), and about a dozen other things, LOL. I know we’ll be seeing some great things from you - Island Batik is lucky to have you!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to be fabulous as an Island Batik Ambassador. Your video was great and it was very nice to "meet" you via video. I love my Go cutter. I suggest you watch any videos that are geared to beginners. There are a few rules should follow to use them to get the best results. I've been using my dies continuously over the last week or so. Have a great time creating with all of the fabulous goodies.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some fun palettes to work with for the next few months. Looking forward to seeing all your challenge projects this year. Happy stitching!
