Tiramisu

 INGREDIENTS

  • 8 Small Mason Jars
  • 16 Ladyfingers (Biscotti Saviordi) (We need 2 per jar)
  • 1 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp instant coffee dissolved in 1 cup water (or use 1 cup of strong espresso)
  • Cocoa Powder for dusting (optional)


PREPARATION

1. Cut each ladyfinger in half and set aside.

2. Place the coffee liquid in a shallow bowl and set aside.

3. Pour the heavy cream in a large mixing bowl, add the vanilla extract and beat till stiff peaks form.

4. Pour the condensed milk into the whipped cream and beat till well mixed.


ASSEMBLY

1. Gently dip (do not soak) the ladyfingers in the coffee liquid and place two halves in the bottom of the mason jar. 

2. Add about 1 1/2 tablespoon of the whipped cream/condensed milk on top of the ladyfingers in each jar. Spread evenly (somewhat) to cover the ladyfingers.

3. Repeat with coffee dipped two ladyfinger halves in each jar.

4. Repeat with 1 1/2 tablespoon of the whipped cream/condensed milk layer. Spread evenly, smoothing the top.

5. Using a sieve, dust with powdered cocoa (optional).

6. Close the jars and refrigerate for six hours or overnight.
